Artifice (2023)
An installation which aims to speak about the uniqueness objects may gain through their experiences and use over time. Bringing forth how mundane mass produced objects may gain a sense of identity or spirit through our connections with them built upon repetitive interactions, care for each other and shared memories. Through these installations Felixe reveals a possible form or visualisation of these spirits through the diffraction of light.
In this particular installation these wine glasses are all identical collected from the streets and second hand stores they each hold their own stories and memories.
Gleaming Glass (2022)
These images where taken from an immersive light installation which reveals the wonder hidden within the glassware of our homes. Through the exposure of light shining across the domestic glass object, a diffraction occurs to causing these whimsical organic patterns and textures to emerge. The glassware is presented like artefacts on a series of plinths and columns around a darkened room. This work encourages the audience to explore new perspectives surrounding the everyday objects within their home while elevating the everyday object into a magical experience for the audience to explore.
