Salon of Reflections
An immersive experience by Midnight Ensemble.
21-25 May 2025 | 5-9pm | UPSPACE Gallery, Hut 24, 142 Addison Road, Marrickville.
The Salon of Reflections is a public living room for the exchange of ideas. Through an immersive installation inviting collective learning and exploration, we offer a unique space to encounter new perspectives, opinions and stances. Harnessing the transformative power of small group conversation, we invite our audience to gather around (and under) the Salon’s playful dining tables.
Bathed in shapeshifting patterns of light, the audience is brought into a sensory landscape that returns us to our felt, bodily experience. This sanctuary of quiet contemplation offers an escape from the busyness and information bombardment we experience in our daily lives. From this place of stillness, we hope to open a window into new knowledge and unexpected connections.
Recognising light’s ability to conceal and reveal, Midnight Ensemble also seeks to illuminate the hidden wisdom that resides within each of us. Each night, we present the audience with a curated suite of prompts and provocations, designed to stimulate deep conversation.
The Salon of Reflections will run from 21-25 May 2025 at UPSPACE Gallery, Hut 24, 142 Addison Road, Marrickville. We invite you to join us for a series of guided, interactive evenings, each curated around distinct themes. Each night the Gallery will be open from 5pm.
